a quiet monday.

what a whirlwind of a wonderful week.
between family in town. birthday parties. lunch dates. & easter . . .
our life has been busy. busy. busy. this past week.

naturally. i have totally embraced this quiet & restful monday.
sleepy snuggles in bed. lullabies on repeat all day.
dinner simmering on the stovetop. & a long nap for the babe.
there is nothing more peaceful.

i love when the house is especially quiet like this.
it is one of my favorite things in all the world.
my babe quietly playing on the floor.
nothing to be heard but babbles. soft music. & creaking wood floors.

i may or may not stay holed up in this quiet house for the entire day.
but with this precious baby all to myself . . . can you really blame me?

grateful for a quiet house. on a quiet monday.
just my baby & me.

lust for louis.

is anyone else just drooling over the latest louis vuitton campaign?!
oh my heavens. michelle williams in simply stunning.
i completely & utterly. have hair envy.
{and bag envy. too. let's just be honest. i would love one in each color}

how fab are those images?!
so chic. so edgy. & oh so perfect!

party pop.

looking for a quick & easy party treat?!
look no further. my friends.
this is. hands down. one of the cutest little party snacks.
sweet. salty. adorable. goodness.

hello. party popcorn!

how stinkin cute?!
i just love how playful & fun this treat is.
not to mention . . . it is a breeze to throw together.

simply pop some of your fave popcorn.
i like to pop it the old fashioned way. in a pot. on the stove top.
but you can certainly use a microwave bag if you choose.

then melt a bowl of white chocolate candies.
melting white chocolate chips is really challenging.
so definitely use meltable candies as opposed to the traditional chips.
{i found mine at michaels}

after the popcorn is popped & your chocolate is melted.
simply mix the chocolate & pops in a big bowl.
be gentle. you do not want to crush the little popcorns.
i found it easiest {& messiest} to mix it up with my hands.

then quickly shake in a ton of your sprinkles.
any choice. any color. any size. you fancy.
give it one more good mixin & set it aside to harden.

there you have it.
the most darling little party snack ever.

. . . and truly. these are even yummier than you would think.
the perfect mix of sweet. salty. crunch.
you will not be able to stop munchin on this stuff!

my little family of three.

i simply adore my sweet little family of three.
we may be small. but we have an abundance of big love.
life with my two boys is like the most glorious walk in the park.

love. love. love.
thank you sweet leisa for capturing these precious snapshots.

an organic easter.

i always love decorating for springtime & easter.
everything is just so fresh. so green. so full of life.
this year i have gone with a very natural look. an organic easter. if you will.
sweet vignettes that boast fresh carrots. vines of ivy. & a color palette of neutrals.

take a peak at some simple {and inexpensive} ways to bring spring into your home.

how beautiful are these long stem carrots?
i just love. love. love. them.
i grabbed a few bunches at our local fresh market
& used them in several different ways.

i adore the simplicity of a bowl of fresh carrots.
simply peel the carrots to bring out the bright orange.
then plop them in a tall bowl or vase with water.
the long greens will cascade off to the side beautifully.
i tied a big. bright. bow around the top for an extra punch of color.

this is so simple & so perfect for the easter season.

i also used the carrots as vase fillers with big bunches of hydrangeas.
the carrots surround the stems. bringing a fantastic pop of color.

again. i let the greens cascade off to the sides creating a whimsical look.
it reminds me of a wonderfully overgrown garden just bursting with new life.

it is so impossibly simple to use these carrots for quick & simple springtime decor.
so. run. don't walk. to your local market to scoop up a few.

in keeping with the organic easter theme . . .
i pulled together a darling centerpiece of natural elements.
it will make the perfect piece at our easter dinner table.

a twiggy nest with blue robins egg just screams springtime.

add some blooms & blueberries for extra pops of color.

i found this lovely branch at beach papery & gifts.
i just had to have it. i think the colors are divine.

the intertwined ivy was just the icing on the cake.

i own this large driftwood bowl that i found to be just perfect for this centerpiece.
it is natural. it is organic. it is perfectly imperfect.
but truly you could use just about anything to hold this piece together.
a silver platter. a wooden tray. a white dish.
anything that you have will really work.

the star of the show for this centerpiece is this adorably mossy little bunny.
i just think he is too cute for words.

sprinkle in a few neutral colored eggs
& you have yourself a darling little easter vignette.

oh. and here is the best thing about using natural elements . . .

a little hunny bunny can sneak some little nibbles.

what?! was i not supposed to eat the carrots?

but they are just so yummy . . .

& so fun to play with . . .

i'll even share with you. mama!

hope these springtime ideas have inspired you to create some of your own!
let me know if & how you use fresh carrots this season!
