lust for louis.

is anyone else just drooling over the latest louis vuitton campaign?!
oh my heavens. michelle williams in simply stunning.
i completely & utterly. have hair envy.
{and bag envy. too. let's just be honest. i would love one in each color}

how fab are those images?!
so chic. so edgy. & oh so perfect!

garance for rifle paper.

i cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled i am about this collaboration.
two of my faves. partnering up together. to make fab paper goods.
garance dore for rifle paper company is sheer brilliance.

you may remember this past post.
when garance & kate spade partnered up together.
it was beyond fantastic . . . so i have no doubt this new mix up
will be equally as wonderful.

i mean. it just simply cannot get better than
paper goods. black & white. with a dash of frenchie chic.

counting down the minutes till i get my hands on these goodies!
c'est si bon. indeedie.

paris fashion week. street style.

as we are just celebrating the idea of
throwing on our fave pair of short shorts & embracing the springtime . . .
fashion houses around the world are debuting their
collections for fall 2014.

here are a few of my fave snaps from paris fashion week.
edgy street style a la vogue magazine.

tres chic. tres chic.

darling audrey.

oh. i am so inspired by the darling audrey.
obviously i am always inspired by the audrey.
little ms. audrey hepburn.
but these days . . .
i am completely & utterly inspired by
the darling audrey tautou.

she is just so impossibly feminine.
so charming. so demure. & just timeless.

honestly. can she be any more darling?
a natural beauty with chic hair to boot.
classic style. red lips. & effortless glamour.
plus. she is from france.
one more reason that i just adore her.

the terry brett collection.

don't you just love when you stumble upon an artist that you adore.
you know. when you are coveting every single piece they create.
when you wish that your home could be overflowing with their designs.

i feel that way about one particular artist & his eclectic collection.

the terry brett collection.

he is hands down. my all time fave artist.
he is just so talented. in so many mediums. in so many genres.
a true renaissance man. in every sense of the word.
from carpentry. to painting. to sculpture work. this artist is remarkable.

. . . and he happens to be my sweet. sweet daddy.

how lucky am i that my house is sprinkled with his art work?!
i have his traditional city scene paintings hanging on my walls.
his jackson pollock-esque murals propped on my mantels.
his custom designed furniture fills my spaces.

today i want to share with you two of my very fave pieces.
two very special pieces that were created just for me.

this first piece is just amazing.
i love the height of the table. the length of the table. & the curve of the legs.
it is just stunning. and the fact that my daddy made it makes it even more wonderful.

i just love the distressed finish. it is black but not too heavy.
& i especially adore the white pinstripe that outlines the curves.

can you believe that he carved each of these legs?
such incredible talent for a weekend hobby project.

anytime anyone walks into our living room they always comment on this table.
& i am always so very proud to tell them that my daddy made it.
{notice his jackson pollock-esque painting. too.}

again notice the weight of these legs.
each one is solid wood. about three inches thick.
just amazing.

the second piece is our entry way table.
& is equally as impressive.

cream & gold finish. carved & curved legs. hand painted embellishments.
this little table is a great big a show stopper when you walk in our front door.

i adore the bevelled edges.
it adds so much to the table.

just beautiful. don't you agree?

wouldn't you just love to own a piece of the terry brett collection?!
worth far more than any other. and that is for certain.

a divine place to dine.

i am so thankful for my lovie.
for many. countless. numerous. reasons.
but especially for the fact that he constantly indulges me.

he indulges me with ice cream.
he indulges me with shopping.
he indulges me with great tolerance of my silly antics.
& he indulges me with supporting all of my grand ideas.

the latest idea was that of a push present.
i know every girl has heard of a push present.
{a present for pushing out a sweet little baby}
but the boys seem to be a bit clueless of this great idea.
and my lovie. well. when i explained what it was he was certain i had invented it.
{knowing my love for gifts. i can see his reasoning}
despite thinking it was so silly & created by his bride
he indulged me with a lovely push present of my choosing.

hello, dining room table.

the moment i laid eyes on this dining room table & chairs
i just knew they had to be mine.
they. are. stunning.

i found the table & end chairs at mis en chic. in st. pete.
{heidi. the shop owner. has just the most impeccable taste}
and i found the chairs at details in tampa.
{quite possibly one of my fave stores}

i was so smitten with the mixed colors. mixed textures. & mixed themes.
the tables white wash distressed finish contrasts perfectly with the dark wood chair legs.
i also loved the formality of the structured. tufted chairs. paired with the romantic table.
placing these chairs with this table was a match made in heaven.

i just love the detail work on the legs of this table.
they are so beautiful. & such a solid size.
plus the bottom of the table has a wrought iron detail that is gorgeous.
don't you just love it?!

and no dining room table is complete without a stunning centerpiece.
i have a chandelier hanging above the table . . .
so i knew that a low & wide centerpiece would work best.
imagine my delight when i stumbled upon these pretties.

again. i love the contrast of the pure cream colored flowers & the dark wood stems.
and there are just no words to express my love for this driftwood bowl.
it was truly & utterly love. at. first. sight.

i could not be happier with the way our new dining room turned out.
oh. heavens to betsy. it just makes me overflow with joy.

it surely is a divine place to dine.

paris street style.

whenever a fashion week is going on around the world
i always love to see the street style of the girls attending.
they always look so chic. so fashion forward. & just downright fantastic.

the garb donned in paris this past week is certainly no exception.
take a peak at some of my fave paris street style looks.

monochromatic white is always a great idea.
love this slouchy look.
plus those edgy loubs are a great bonus.

this is so ladylike. i adore it.
the combination of the neutral taupe & poppy yellow is brilliant.

chic to boot.
love. love. love this look.
classic black & white with an edgy animal twist.

absolutely love this get up.
it is so fantastic in so many ways.
the geo print is bold & the colors are even bolder.

this color combo is amazing.
love the monochromatic pants & blouse with a high contrast coat.
and take a peak at that statement necklace.
to die for.

hands down. my all-time fave look.
this. is. just. magnificent.
love the head-to-toe print. love those valentino rock stud heels.
love the structured bag. love the tousled tresses. love the oversized jackie o's.
love. it. all.

paris street style always leaves me feeling inspired.
which look is your fave?

welcome to the neighborhood.

i literally cannot contain my excitement.
truly. i am beyond thrilled to welcome the one. the only.
mis en chic to downtown st. petersburg.

an absolute gem of an addition to our ever-growing downtown area.
a much needed sprinkle of chic home decor & lavish little luxuries to our neck of the woods.
praise the good Lord for this extra special relocation.

you may remember my love affair with mis en chic from a previous feature.
i first introduced you to heidi & her little slice of heaven here.
ever since i first stepped into her indian shores boutique a few years ago
i have been just swooning over every little piece she displays.
her style is the ultimate in chic. elegance. & class.

located on central avenue & 12th street north.
mis en chic now occupies the former malindy elene bridal boutique building.
having been open for less than a week. heidi's shop is already the talk of the town.
people cannot help but stroll through the store as they pass by.
the absolutely beautiful things simply draws you in.
and i can promise you. without a shadow of a doubt.
the moment you step in the doors you will be coveting each & every piece.

can you hardly wait to see it all in person?
you will surely be astonished. as my pictures hardly do justice
to the beauty that abounds in this shop.

swing by this week.
and tell them c'est si bon sent you!

welcome to the neighborhood, mis en chic.
we are so happy to have you near.
